Compression Set Ret Packer
Compression Set Retrievable Packer is used in application where extreme below hole pressures or injection pressures are not expected.
They have Sufficient tubing weight is available to keep the packer set. Already set the tubing line can be left in compression, or a neutral position and a large internal by-pass reduce the swabbing effect during run-in and retrieval and tubing is close when the packer is set.
When the packer is simply released, the bypass opens first, allowing pressure to equalize before the upper slips are pulled from the casing.
Also, they have features an upper slip releasing system that reduces the expected force to release the packer.
A non-directional slip is released first, making it simpler to release the other slips. These flexible features allow being run in various types of applications ranging from Production Packer to Bridge Plug to Service Packer.
Also, the Tension Packer is available for open-hole applications and incorporates dual elongated packing elements and deep wickered slips for a better bite into the formation.
