Ram Blowout Preventer - BOP
Ram Blowout Preventer-BOP are wellhead equipments designed to close the well and prevent free blowouts that may occur when drilling in oil and gas wells. It served as well control devices used to prevent the uncontrolled release of wellbore fluids during coiled tubing operations. Ram Blowout Preventer contain two halves of a cover for the well that are split down the middle.
These covers are made of steel for strength and fitted with elastomer components on the sealing surface. Ram BOP seal off the annulus between the casing on which they are assembled and the outside of drill pipes, tubings and casings. It restricts the flow by extending towards the center of a wellbore and allows flow by retracting outwards. - Upto 15,000 psi working pressure.
- Includes various RAM configurations such as Blind RAM, Shear RAM, Slip RAM, Tubing RAM.
- Double and triple RAM BOPs are also available.
