DIC-MCR Cement Retainer
(Mechanical Set)
DIC-MCR Cement Retainer is a mechanical set, high-pressure retainer constructed of drillable gray cast iron. Opposing slips are carburized wicker type One-piece slips located above and below the rubber packing rudiments. The slips keep the cement retainer securely set in high-hardness alloy grade casings, including P-110. DIC-MCR is set mechanically by a mechanical setting tool.
The standard packing element is Nitrile (70 Duro); optional packing systems of Viton or Aflas are available as per required.
DIC-20 MST Mechanical Setting Tool

DIC-20 MST is designed to run and mechanically set the DIC-MCR Cement Retainer at any depth via tubing or drill pipe.
Drag Blocks eliminate the sluggish setting control compared to leaf spring-type splines (Centralizes).
DIC-CR Cement Retainer
(Wireline Set)
DIC-CR Cement Retainer is a Wireline set, high-pressure retainer constructed of drillable gray cast iron.
These can also be set on tubing/drill pipe/coil tubing using the Hydraulic Setting Tool. DIC-CR utilizes a wireline adapter kit (WLAK) to connect to Baker PST and run in a hole. CR is set on Baker 10 or Baker 20 Pressure Setting Tools (PST) on wireline/e-line.
Once set, a stringer is run on tubing/drill pipe or coil tubing in the second trip and stung into the DIC-CR cement retainer. The standard packing element is Nitrile (70 Duro).
DIC Stinger Assembly
DIC Stinger Assembly is a tubing conveyed latching seal assembly used to operate the sliding valve in a wireline set CR Cement Retainer. Stringer Assembly run with a Tubing Centralizer or a modified ‘star guide’ to provide a centralized entry into the cement retainer.
The snap-out indicator re-engages when the work string is lowered to open the valve. The snap-out indicator helps prevent the seal from pumping out during pumping operations or tubing testing.
