Millout Extension
Mill-out extensions are especial tubing joints that are used with Seal Bore Packers. Mill-out extensions offer a larger ID below the packer to protect the seals provide.
These are assembled onto the lower end of retrievable sealbore packers and run into the hole. Mill-out extensions can be supplied in a box-by-box, pin-by-pin or box-by-pin configuration.
They are supplied in either 6- or 10-ft [1.8- or 3.0-m] lengths.
- Production or Isolation Seal Bore Packer
- Allows movement of milling/retrieving tool as it moves downward during milling process of packer. Completion with permanent packer as production packer
- Comes with variety of different thread types (API/Proprietary) and Thread size combinations (Pin x Pin / Box x Box / Box Pin)
- Each Mill-Out Extension has larger ID than the mating Packer bore ID.
